Please join us Saturday November 9 from 6-8 pm at Tooth + Nail Gallery for an artist talk with Gina Cornejo. Audience-led Q + A to follow. This is part of our programming for “Screwball,” Cornejo’s ongoing solo exhibition in our gallery.
This event is free and open to the public, no registration required. Masks required for all attendees.
Gina writes:
“Join me for a stroll down memory lane and you’ll hear about that time I spent Easter Sunday with the Mouth of the South, Jimmy Hart. Or why I chose to take 11 workshops in Theatrical Intimacy Education. Or why I am actively collecting other people's wedding dresses. There is crucial investigation to most of the choices I’ve made while cultivating my artistic voice. However, I’ve also just done it for the plot!
My journey has trotted along from an enthusiastic musical theatre kid to grown musical theatre nerd, autobiographical writer, twice Jeff Award winner, Fringe Festival solo performer/creator, Chicago-based actor/singer/choreographer, cross genre collaborator, and all around ‘professional feelings haver’ weirdo wonder with no pets and 3 plants. A journey of which I am quite delighted and tickled by. Come stroll with me!”
