Tooth + Nail Studio and Gallery invites you to the closing reception of “Screwball,” the solo exhibition of storyteller and performance artist Gina Cornejo. The artist uses personal artifacts in installations and immersive performances to explore memory and nostalgia. We invite you to attend this very special opening reception on Friday October 18th, 2024 from 6-9pm. The show will run from October 18-November 15th.

The show premiere includes refreshments from 6-7 pm, which leads into the hour-long titular performance of “Screwball” from 7-8pm. Guests are welcome to come and go as they please but we encourage those who are able to stay for the full performance. 8-9 pm will be a continuation of refreshments, viewings of Cornejo’s films and installations, and speaking with the artist.

We suggest a $10-20 sliding scale donation for the performance but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. All proceeds support the artist and studio.

Gina Cornejo reads a collection of stories, poetry, and new material to reflect on her time exhibiting at Tooth + Nail Studio and Gallery. Part-circus part-experimental late night radio part-poetry reading, Cornejo aims to highlight her unique process of documenting emotions and curating the audience experience.
