Have you always wanted to have a go at linocut printing? Want to try a new, hands-on and colorful creative skill? This is the class! Artist Kota Bowen will show you how to create a simple one color linocut print, using softcut lino and water-based inks.

You will learn how to...

• Create a simple one color linocut print.

• Carve a variety of mark making techniques using linocut tools.

• Create your own design or use the design templates provided.

• Print your design by hand, using water-based inks.  

• Make linocut prints that you can frame or make into cards.

Kota Bowen is the artist behind our current solo exhibition opening August 23rd at Tooth + Nail Gallery titled “Strange Touch”. They received a printmaking degree from UWM and use those skills acquired in a variety of creative ways to bring their dynamic and alluring illustrations to life.
